Former Starehe MP and singer Charles Kanyi, also known as Jaguar, unintentionally amplified this false information by asserting that Alpha had ended his own life.
However, comedian YY, a close friend of Alpha, promptly took to social media to clarify the situation, asserting that Alpha was not deceased but rather hospitalized.
Subsequently, Alpha himself recounted the circumstances surrounding the spread of the erroneous news about his demise during an interview with YouTuber Nicholas Kioko.
He revealed that he had been poisoned at a performance he had been invited to in Rongai, an incident that had nearly claimed his life.
Alpha explained that an unidentified individual had invited him to perform at the event and, while there, he was served poisoned food. Around 11 p.m., as he was leaving the event, he began to feel unwell. By the time he reached his home, he was experiencing severe vomiting and nosebleeds.
During the interview, Alpha appeared physically weak, but he highlighted that it was thanks to his neighbors' quick actions that he was rushed to the hospital, even though it was somewhat delayed. Fortunately, medical professionals were able to save his life.
The question then arose: how had Jaguar come to the conclusion that Alpha had attempted suicide? Alpha disclosed that upon realizing he had been poisoned, he reached out to Jaguar's producer to share the alarming news.
Regrettably, the producer mistakenly assumed that Alpha had deliberately ingested the poison, subsequently conveying this misperception to Jaguar.
Alpha emphatically denied any suicidal intentions, emphasizing his challenging journey from being a street kid and the immense struggles he had overcome. Suicide, he stressed, was never an option in his life.
Alpha mentioned that he had already provided a statement to the police regarding the poisoning incident, recalling only one face from the Rongai event. Despite his financial challenges, he pledged to continue his music and comedy endeavours to make ends meet.
