After eight years at the station, Kenya Correspondent for the British Broadcasting Corporation Ferdinand Omondi has announced his departure.

He however noted that he was excited about his next assignment.

“Today, I close this wonderful chapter of my life at the BBC after 8 years. I have grown, I have learned, I have thrived. I leave with a grateful heart and fond memories. Storytelling is what I do best. And I'm excited for what the universe has next for me on my plate. My story continues.” His statement read.

Ferdinand worked as a senior Coast reporter for the Standard Media Group's KTN before joining the British channel.

He was a news anchor and reporter for Nation Media Group as well.

Between 2006 and 2009, Ferdinand worked as a sports news presenter and reporter for Citizen TV, a royal media services-owned station.
