Willy Paul frequently dominates discussions of controversy in the ever-changing Kenyan entertainment landscape.

The musician, often compared to a black sheep, has received numerous allegations of sexual misconduct from women who have come into contact with him throughout his musical career.

Look Up Digital Sleuths took a dig to find some of the women who have publicly accused the Saldido records CEO of sexual assault.

In 2021, Bahati’s wife came to the public admitting that Willy Paul attempted to have coitus with her a matter that was reported to authorities.

A Nairobi court then ordered content creator and aspiring rapper Diana Marua to remove a video accusing musician Willy Paul of attempted rape while the case was being heard and decided.

On December 29, 2021, Senior Principal Magistrate D. W. Mburu issued the order to Willy Paul.

Among other names in the rape accusations meted on Willy Paul are radio host Atieno and recently his former signee Miss P.

The controversial musician claims that the recent scandals have cost him approximately Ksh96 million, so the cost of these claims has been significant.

After the accusations, he wrote, "Thank you, you've won," listing his losses, which included a Ksh10 million contract with a telecommunications firm and a Ksh82 million international recording and distribution agreement.

However, it seems as though the tide has been turning in recent months. With Miss P being the most recent example, many of the women who accused Willy Paul of sexual assault have since admitted to making up their allegations in order to gain notoriety from the award-winning artist.

It should be noted that Miss P had previously accused Willy Paul of repeatedly pressuring her into having sex without her consent. The debate continues to develop in the court of public opinion as the artist deals with the fallout from these accusations and the subsequent retractions.
