Content creator Nyce Wanjeri popularly known from Anti-boss as ‘Shiro’ has spilled the beans about her ex-husband saying that he was abusive and recounted how she had the worst marriage experience. She made every effort to keep her marriage together but her husband was aggressive, abusive, and a cheater in their nine year marriage.
Nyce Wanjeri, who is currently expecting a child with her partner Leting, has admitted to making three suicide attempts.
In 2018, she eventually left the man who had come to her mother's funeral with his older lover. Wanjeri has spoken up about her experiences at the hands of an abusive husband. She talks about mistreatment and infidelity of her ex-husband.
Wanjeri's ex- husband, who was present at the funeral, attended the service. “He insisted on comforting me the entire time while driving his lover's car to my mother's burial,” she stated. The actress received a good salary from her advertisement. She added, "I relocated, and he followed me from Huruma to Kiambu”.
"Given vulnerability, at that time I decided to go back to him and the pastor came and prayed for us then we started living together again.”
"In 2015, as he was having multiple affairs with the older woman, depression struck me. He said that he had someone else and that he no longer feels my presence when I questioned him why he didn't arrive home." I knelt before him and pleaded with him not to leave me, urging us to stay together."
Wanjeri also mentions a time when he started making advances on her friends after she accompanied him to a concert.
Despite the abuse, Wanjeri used to pay all the bills while spending his money on maintaining his appearance and going to the gym. He also became intensly jealous of Wanjeri as her star was rising.
In 2018, the two sat down, and she threatened to leave him if he ever beat her again. Nyce noted, "I didn't have self-esteem, but I have suffered. Love had grown stale. I was giving too much and letting him do too much to me.”
"I had already left Auntie Boss, and the people never supported me; it was all fans. After I won it hit me differently, God told me you have held yourself so poorly, I wish you could see how others saw you. For the first time, I chose myself.” She stated.
After a final thrashing, she moved out in 2018, with the help of her brother and friends. He slandered her everywhere, causing her to lose two jobs.
Wanjeri has since moved on and is expecting her second child with her new boyfriend, Leting. Nyce Wanjeri announced her pregnancy in early February 2023, the singer and her lover, Leting Kipkemboi. The adorable pair shared similar images on Instagram and donned white apparel as they delivered the great news to their supporters.
On Valentine's Day eve, they also released their newest song to commemorate the wonderful milestone.
