Former Nairobi Governor Mike Mbuvi Kioko, popularly known as Mike Sonko has offered to help a young girl from Siyiape Primary School in Narok county.

This was after a picture of the young girl with her teacher as she tried to knit the young girl’s dress went viral on the internet.

Taking to his Twitter account on May 10, 2023, the Former Nairobi Governor expressed how touched he was by the picture that had earlier evoked numerous emotions from internet users.

“Watu wangu, imagine sijalala poa coz of this pic which I saw of a young girl from Siyiape primary school, Narok county with a torn dress circulating on social media. I need details of this school or her parents contacts I just want to buy her 5 sets of school uniforms, rubber shoes, official school shoes, her food and school shopping for at least 6 months and clear any of her outstanding school fees.” His message read.

He also offered to buy her food and school shopping for at least 6 months and to help clear any of her outstanding fees.

Sonko has been at the forefront of carrying out humanitarian activities this was after he rewarded former boxing champion Conjestina Achieng with a job as a security and training head in his various establishment on March 29, 2023.

He stated that he had prepared a good plan for her with good pay instead of letting her return to Siaya where she was living in a deplorable condition

Conjestina had struggled for years with mental illness and drug addiction and had been in and out of rehab with the help of the former Governor.

In 2019, while still in office, he also donated Sh1 million to support the Wanyama Roya Charity Cup tournament and personally provided ambulances, mobile kitchens and support staff to help in the success of the charity cup.

His help has captured the heart of many Kenyans and most of them are urging him to continue with his kind heart because Kenyans need that.
