Man charged For Threatening to reveal Wavinya Ndeti's Extra Marital Affairs

A post by blogger Cyprian Nyakundi shows that a man has been arrested and charged under the Cybercrimes Act 2018.

According to the charge sheet, Donald Mwendwa Nzau between the first day of December 2022 and the 30th day of December 2022 from an unknown place, posted on a Whatsapp group called ‘Ukambani politics’ that he was ready to reveal the names of all the young men that the governor has been sleeping with.

 According to the charge sheet the message read, ‘’ If Wavinye needs us to go personal,I will bring all the names of the young men she has been sleeping with for the last 15 years. She is trending on dangerous grounds. Yours truly. Password Mwendwa.’’

The charge sheet further indicated that the accused knew that the information was false which is why he was arrested and charged under the Cybercrimes Act of 2018.

On conviction, an offence under these crimes carries a general penalty of a fine not exceeding KES. 3 million (USD. 30,000) or an imprisonment term not exceeding ten years, or both.
