Konde music label has parted ways with three artists this year

Tanzania’s musician Harmonize has parted ways with two of his signed musicians Killy and Cheed. Harmonize through his music label Konde music announced that the he and the two artists reached an agreement to terminate the contract. The two, Ally Kili Omary (Killy) and Rashid Daudi Mganga (Cheed) were signed under the Konde gang record label. The contract termination took effect on October 10, 2022.

The ‘Amelowa’ hit maker further added that his music label will no longer be responsible for anything concerning the two artists.

“For that reason, these artistes will be free to work and make a contract with any company or individual. We believe they are talented young men who have the potential of making it in the music industry. However, Konde Music will not be responsible for anything involving the said artists.” The statement read.

further went ahead to appreciate Killy and Cheed for working with Konde music and wished them prosperity in their future endeavors. The record label was launched in October 2019, and the two exiting musicians joined the label in 2020 after exiting Ali Kiba King’s Music Label.  The two released their own music, “The Green Light” by Killy and “Endless Love” by Cheed both featuring Harmonize while they were still working under the label.

“We’d like to thank Killy and Cheed for their cooperation in the period we’ve been together and we wish them all the best in their future endeavours.” The statement from Konde music label read.

Earlier this year in January, Tanzanian Hip Hop rapper, Ibrahim Ayoub Mandingo, popularly known as Country Wizzy also exited Konde music label after a two-year stay. Before being signed by Harmonize, Killy and Cheed had been signed by Ali Kiba. Their exit message from Ali Kiba’s label was similar on their social media handles.
