Diana Chepkemoi was rescued from Saudi Arabia from her abusive employer

Diana Chepkemoi, the Kenyan that was stranded in Saudi Arabia is now reaping big on social media. Chepkemoi while stranded in Saudi Arabia received multiple mistreatments from her boss, and got rescued from her employers after her pictures looking emaciated surfaced on Twitter gaining the attention of Kenyans who took on social media demanding her return.

The 24 -year – old secured a job and a chance to continue with her studies at Meru University, shortly after arriving back in Kenya where she painfully recalled the mistreatment and cruelty from her former employer in Saudi Arabia.

“I left Kenya for Saudi Arabia hoping to get a better life but if I can be honest, mine is just the tip of the iceberg. People are mentally and psychologically tortured. It is a shame that they often tell us there is nothing we can do. The government should do something. Some have even forgotten their names. They have forgotten where they came from.”

She added that her colleagues are suffering and called on the government to act quickly.

“Watu wanateseka. My friends are suffering. I am just lucky that my plight was highlighted. I am pleading with the government to do something,” she said.  Though the Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia said Chepkemoi was not subjected to any kind of ill-treatment, Chepkemoi said she always carried out her duties diligently but trouble started when she reported her employer to her agent in vain after mistreating her continuously for days.

A month after her return, Diana found refuge on TikTok where she posts inspirational videos of how God saved her from the inhuman treatment and jaws of death in Saudi Arabia.

She commands almost 30,000 followers from the platform a month after joining the platform where she posts several videos thanking God and her progress both physically and mentally.
