Comedian turned-activist Eric Omondi arrested at City Stadium, Nairobi while handing out Unga to locals.
On Wednesday, March 1, the outspoken comedian claimed that he was giving maize flour to Kenyans who were struggling economically in an effort to help.
“Wakenya wenzetu hawana unga. Ni unga tu nilikuwa napeana," said Eric Omondi.
At the moment, he is being detained in the Industrial Area Police station.
This comes days after he declared that he would lead a march from Uhuru Park to Statehouse, Nairobi where he will present Kenyans’ CVs, School fee arrears, rents arrears, electricity bills, and basic necessities among others to President William Ruto.
The comedian has been detained twice for highlighting Kenya's high cost of living. On February 21, he was taken into custody together with his companions and accused of blocking Parliament Road while they were protesting.
