In the Marigoini slums of Muthaiga, police are looking into an incident in which a burned man's body was discovered thrown on the side of the road.
Police who responded to the scene came to the conclusion that the body had been severely burned.
The body's identity was not immediately known. A five-litre jerrican with an unknown chemical inside that could have been used to burn the body was found next to the body.
There was no evidence to suggest that he had been murdered elsewhere and dumped there.
Cases of such incidents have been rampant in such areas.
Police also discovered a body that had been deposited in a water tunnel on Outering Road near a Shell gas station and was covered in a white bed sheet.
The dead person may have been slain elsewhere before being left there, according to the police.
After being identified, the body was taken to the city morgue for an autopsy.
As of yet, no one has been arrested. Adamson Bungei, the head of the Nairobi police, said they are looking into both cases.
A lot needs to be done in these areas such as increasing security that will help in curbing the cases.
Come to think of it, such uncouth behaviours are only heard in the slums and not posh areas could poverty be the subject of the matter? And if so could the government provide an alternative that will level the society’s economic status?
Or is it creating awareness that will help spread the importance to love one another and not killing for whatever reasons?
