President William Ruto has been on a drive to take full control of the government through the appointment of persons aligned to his government agenda.
This has seen a lot of changes within the government with Uhuru Kenyatta’s top aides losing plum jobs in top state parastatals.
The latest changes have seen the re-introduction of Joe Sang as the acting Managing Director for Kenya Pipeline after his corruption charges were dropped upon the change of guard at the top office.
According to a gazette notice dated 20th January 2023, key changes have been effected by the President in various government agencies.
Abdi Duale, Aden Duale’s brother has been appointed as the As Ketraco Chair after Dr Ruto revoked the appointment of Brigadier (Rtd) David Azangu Ngaira in a gazette notice dated January 19 2023.
Mr Duale was the former chairman of the Kenya Leather Development Council after retired President Uhuru Kenyatta revoked his appointment to the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) board in May 2018.
Dr. Charles Githinji as also been appointed as the Pharmacy And Poisons Board Chair,Fatma Bakari Barayan As Youth Enterprise Fund Chair,Phillip Mong’ony as State Corporation Advisory Chair and Surum Ipato As Anti-FGM Board Chair.
