Conjoined Twins Successfully Separated After a 15-hour Surgery Procedure

Kenya’s biggest referral hospital, Kenyatta National Hospital announced it successfully performed surgery for the separation of Conjoined twins aged four months on Sunday 5^th February

A dedicated team of surgeons separated the pair during a 15 hour delicate procedure, without major complications.

KNH released a statement that the babies were recovering within the hospital’s intensive care unit.

On Monday the institution was scheduled to host a press briefing to provide more information about the procedure.
