World Marathon Record Holder Dies in A Tragic Road Accident

Tragedy has struck the world of athletics as world marathon record holder, Kelvin Kiptum, and his coach lost their lives in a devastating accident along the Eldoret-Kaptagat road. 

The heartbreaking news has been confirmed by Dennis Muga, the traffic base commandant, who disclosed that the accident claimed the lives of both individuals.

Kelvin Kiptum, renowned for his remarkable achievements in the sport of marathon running, had captured the hearts of fans worldwide with his unparalleled speed and endurance dethroning Eliud Kipchoge’s record.

The accident, which occurred on the Eldoret-Kaptagat road, sent shockwaves through the athletics community and beyond, as news of the tragedy spread rapidly. 

Both Kiptum and his coach were transported to the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH) morgue, where their bodies were received for further examination and processing.
