A court in Uganda has mandated that a woman pay her former fiancée Sh10 million (KSh337,000) in restitution for her inability to honor their marriage contract.

The introduction ceremony, which Tumwine had scheduled for February 2022, was canceled, according to the court, with "no justifiable cause” presented by Kyarikunda.

Kyarikunda must therefore pay USh1 million (KSh34,000) for the difficulties and mental suffering suffered by her former fiancé. The court ruled
