Azimio one Kenya coalition leader Raila Odinga is expected to hold a public rally at the Kamukunji grounds on Monday 23rd Jan 2023 upon his arrival from South Africa. Odinga is expected to address the vote rigging claims made by the jubilee secretary general Jeremiah Kioni and the supposed IEBC whistleblower.

According to a statement by his spokesperson Dennis Onyango, the opposition leader will jet back to the country on Monday at 11 am and then proceed to a rally at Kamukunji grounds.

“Upon arrival, Mr. Odinga will proceed to the Kamukunji grounds in Kamukunji constituency for a people’s Baraza consultations with the public where they will discuss recent disclosures by a whistle blower on the conduct of the 2022 general election,” Stated Mr. Onyango.

In the letter, Odinga asked his supporters to turn up in large numbers.

On the 18th December 2022 while addressing his supporters at the same venue Odinga and other politicians from the Azimio Coalition threatened to act if the cost of living would not have gone down by the end of last year.

Odinga's supporters are eagerly awaiting his return as he promised to tell them the next course of action after allegations that he won the 2022 general elections by 57.5 percent against William Ruto who garnered 46.66 per cent of the total vote casted.

Odinga's meeting with the people is likely to threaten national peace as political pundits argue that he could lead demonstrations in the country protesting the win of William Ruto.

leaders allied to the Opposition leader have asked him to be ready for swearing in and reclaiming a victory which the coalition has consistently termed a victory deferred.

This would be a repeat of 2017 when many people were injured as the country went into unrest.
