ICT CAS Dennis Itumbi has come forth to shed some light on claims that the Kenya Kwanza Administration used and dumped Pauline Waithera popularly known as ‘Mama Mboga’.
According to the Nation Newspaper Pauline was the Seconder of President William Ruto and Rigathi Gachagua during the IEBC clearance and also the face of "Mama Mboga" during campaigns.
But just after Kenya Kwanza won the 2022 Presidential elections the once famous face of the Hustler Campaign has been abandoned after serving her purpose.
The Nation Newspaper reports that Shosh Pauline Waithera is currently drowning in poverty and hasn’t received any aid from the Kenya Kwanza administration, despite lobbying for their manifesto during the 2022 campaigns.
Itumbi, on the other hand, has defended the current government, claiming that they have given back to the people who voted for them through the programs they have implemented since taking office.
“I have another 6m+ names of hustlers who voted for President William Ruto and Rigathi Gachagua. The President has given back through Hustler Fund, Housing, Fertilizer and UHC is on course!” he stated.
He added that 'Mama Mboga,' who owns a fruit grocery store, received 300,000 Kenyan Shillings from the Kenya Kwanza alliance to stock her kiosk.
“Above that Shosh Pauline got 300K to stock her kiosk,” he said in a statement.
Shosh Pauline Waithera was one of the nominated agents who served as an example of how the Bottom-up concept was used to bring regular people from oblivion to self-sufficiency.
