Veteran KBC Broadcaster Geoffrey Mwakizo Passes On

Veteran KBC broadcaster Geoffrey Mwavizo dies after a short illness.

Mr. Mwakizo the producer of the reowned Je Wajua and Dunia Wiki hii succumbed to kidney failure as he was undergoing treatment.

The Kenyan Media fraternity mourns one of their own only weeks after the sad news of the death of Veteran news anchor Catherine Kasavuli.

The veteran host and broadcaster Goeffrey Mwavizo is survived by five sons and two widows, Rose Msae Mwavizo and Anne Nyaguthie Mwavizo.

Former Nairobi Mayor Nathan Kahara eulogized Mr. Mwavizo as an exceptionally skilled, credible, and unbiased reporter.  

Kahara stated that the late Mwavizo will be forever credited in his unpublished works, including 'Periodical peace and pleasure'

"Before his death, we were planning to establish a new magazine called "Peace and Happiness," with Mr. Mwavizo as Chief Editor, according to Kahara.

Apart from his employment at KBC, Mwavizo worked as a senior communications officer for government organizations.

Veteran news anchor Catherine Kasavuli has yet to be buried since her family is still making arrangements after her medical bill totaled Ksh 4 million.
