Reigning champions in the FKF Premier League Tusker fc will seek to narrow their gap against league leaders Gor Mahia as they welcome Wazito FC at Ruaraka sports grounds.
Robert Matano`s side sits in second position with 51 points having played 24 matches and winning fifteen matches. The brewers won against Police FC 1-0 at Nyayo Stadium on Saturday.
If they win against the struggling Wazito FC, they will move one point ahead of K`ogalo.
Head Coach Robert Matano who has been regularly accused of using “witchcraft” in winning matches, is not taking any chances against Wazito in their home ground.
"In football, there is no small team because Wazito has beaten some big teams and drawn with others. Our focus is winning on the pitch and battling for the league title until the last match," said Matano.
On their hand, Wazito FC will be seeking a win to reduce the chances of being relegated with eleven games remaining.
Charles Odera`s side has garnered 13 points out of 24 matches and is second bottom after Mathare United.
According to Wazito Assistant Coach Ibrahim Ateng, they are hopeful of escaping the relegation zone.
"We are not happy sitting in the relegation zone and we have to win our matches because we still have that chance. Tusker is on a good run but we also have to keep pushing for a win even in the toughest games," said Ibrahim Ateng adding that they will surprise many when they win against defending champions Tusker Fc.
At Bukhungu stadium in Kakamega, Police FC will be on a mission to revive themselves and extend their win as they face struggling Bullets.
The law-enforcing side has an upper hand in winning against Vihiga who have managed to score only once with police boosting with a total of eight goals in their last three matches.
Bullets have suffered financial constraints forcing their fans to contribute to enabling them to travel for their matches, the effects have seen them lie bottom with eight points from 24 matches.
Juma Abdalla`s side has issued worker matches against Batoto ba Mungu Sofapaka and Nzoia Sugar.
