Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu has sent a message to the chairman of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) Wafula Chebukati to announce the results of the presidential election as fast as possible.

In a message shared on her social networks, Ngilu, who is a staunch supporter of Azimio La Umoja Candidate Raila Odinga, has appeared to express her belief that it is the former Prime Minister who will be declared the winner.

Ngilu says that they are already planning to swear in Raila as the fifth president of Kenya, asking IEBC to speed up the counting of votes and announce the results.

“Bwana Chebukati, sisi ambao tumebebea Baba Raila Odinga BIBLIA YA SWEARING IN, tumeanza kuchoka. TANGAZA!” Ngilu said on her Facebook and Twitter accounts.

Ngilu has been Raila’s close ally, even accepting to withdraw from the race to defend his seat following Raila’s promise that she will be appointed Minister of Health in Azimio’s government.

“You will decide between former governor Julius Malombe and former senator David Musila who will be your governor. I want to take Mama to Nairobi,” Raila said.

The governor has been a pillar in the campaigns to fill Raila’s vote basket and, today as the ship seems to be nearing the shore, Ngilu wants Chebukati to do the needful.
