Investment, Trade and Industry Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria refuses to back down the launch of the Meru County Aggregation and Industrial Park due to the ongoing political disputes in Meru County.

In a statement posted on his official X account, CS Moses Kuria firmly stated that he would not waste time in repairing the fractured political landscape, emphasizing that leaders need to serve the people of Kenya.

In a bid to revamp the current economy and create jobs for the people of Kenya, the Cabinet Secretary called upon Meru leaders to set aside their political wrangles and prioritize the delivery of development to the residents of Meru County.

Referring to the same, Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua further declared that both he and the President will refrain from involvement in the political conflicts within Meru County, allowing local leaders to work towards the resolution.

This comes days after Meru MCAs launched a second impeachment motion to withdraw Governor Kawira Mwangaza.

The MCAs have cited that they have observed gross misconduct and corruption from the Governor, leading to this move.

However, Kawira Mwangaza seemingly appears not disturbed by the MCAs' actions, as she remains confident that their attempt to remove her from office will fail because they have no substantial ground.
