Top KCPE Candidate Who Scored 428 Marks Revealed

Riara Springs Academy's Michael Warutere, based in Nairobi, has emerged as the top performer in the recently released 2023 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) examination results.

Warutere achieved an outstanding score of 428 out of a possible 500. The announcement was made by Education Cabinet Secretary (CS) Ezekiel Machogu on Thursday, November 23.

Expressing his joy, Warutere stated, "I feel ecstatic. I didn't expect it. I anticipated scoring 410 marks. God has helped me. I wish to join Mangu High School and aspire to become a software engineer."

 

On Thursday, November 23, at Mtihani House, CS Machogu disclosed that the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) exams were taken by over 1.4 million pupils.

The most recent KCSE results, following their presentation to President William Ruto at State House, were promptly released.

Breaking down the results, the top-performing student with 428 marks was among 8,523 candidates who achieved scores above 400 marks in the 2023 KCPE exams.

Additionally, 352,782 candidates scored between 300 and 399 marks, while 658,278 students scored in the range of 200 to 299 marks. Candidates who scored between 100 and 199 marks numbered 383,025.

Furthermore, 2,060 candidates received scores between 001 and 099 marks out of a total of 500.
