The Government Has Guaranteed Parents That The New Social Health Insurance Fund (SHIF), Slated To Replace NHIF, Will Provide Complete Insurance Coverage For Their School-Age Children.

Public Health And Professional Standards PS Muthoni Muriuki Announced That The Primary Healthcare Fund, Part Of The New Scheme, Will Cover Learners And Their Families.

Since 2018, Students Have Benefited From Insurance Coverage Through Eduafya, A Program Introduced By Former President Uhuru Kenyatta To Support Students In Public Secondary Schools Nationwide, Managed By The Ministry Of Education.

Speaking At St. Bakhita Kiburia Girls In Kianyaga, Kirinyaga County, During A Prize-Giving Day, The PS Encouraged Parents To Register Their Households When The Program Launches, Ensuring That No Child Or Adult Will Be Denied Healthcare Due To Financial Constraints.

Regarding Education, Muriuki Emphasized The Critical Role Of Parents, Highlighting That They Are Close Confidants To Their Children And, Besides Paying School Fees, Should Guide And Communicate With Them Understandably.

The PS Assured The People Of The Government's Commitment To Providing Quality Education And Called On All Stakeholders And Partners, Including The Church And The Banking Sector, To Offer Their Full Support.

“To Community Members, Your Support For These Students Is Invaluable. Whether Through Partnerships, Resources Or Simply Attending Events Like This, Your Involvement Helps Create A Thriving Educational Ecosystem. Together We Are Building A Brighter Future For Our Young Generation And Consequently Our Country Kenya,” Noted Muriuki.
