Siaya Governor  James Orengo has unveiled a County Integrated Development Plan (CIDP 2023-2027) with a budget of Ksh 100 Billion for the next five years.

Speaking during the unveiling of the CIDP at Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology (JOOUST), Orengo highlighted that the county's third-generation master plan aims to enhance productivity and elevate service delivery across various sectors of the economy.
The Governor disclosed that to bring the master plan to fruition, they must now strategize on generating sufficient finances for their development projects.
Orengo stated that the County is actively pursuing investments to achieve the development plan. He emphasized that achieving this goal would require the simultaneous creation of a conducive environment for investment.
Siaya County Assembly Speaker George Okode urged the Commission on Revenue Allocation (CRA) to disburse funds to the counties, facilitating the realization of their development plans.

He emphasized that if the CRA genuinely supports devolution, it should release funds under the reviews presented in the third-generation CIDPs submitted by the various County Governments nationwide.
