Senator Nyamu Summoned By UDA Following Dubai Club Drama

Following the altercation between nominated Senator Karen Nyamu, her baby daddy Mugithi maestro Samidoh, and his wife Edday Nderitu at a club in Dubai, the UDA Party has summoned the Nominated Senator due to her conduct.  The mother of three was asked to appear before the party's disciplinary committee in person or have an advocate of the High Court represent her.

The incident which was captured in a video is said to have brought shame to the UDA party which nominate her to the Senate. Nyamu was recorded causing a commotion while she was clubbing in Dubai, the same club which her baby daddy was set to entertain hundreds of Kenyan citizens. The city lawyer was seen engaging in a scuffle with a security officer as she was not supposed to be in stage while the Mugithi singer was performing.

” In the said incident which is well captured on video that has been widely circulated in both mainstream and social media, your conduct and mannerism as exhibited in that incident has brought shame, disrepute and lowered the dignity of the party which nominated you to the office of Senator,” said the UDA disciplinary committee chairperson.

Nyamu is expected to appear before the committee on December 23.

In accordance with Article 29 (xiii) you may represent yourself in person or appear with an advocate of the High Court of Kenya," the letter from the party read.
