Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja has today responded to COTU Secretary General who said on Sunday during Labor Day thanksgiving service that he was worried about his ‘son’ Sakaja.
In his speech during Labor Day celebrations today, Sakaja said that that was all politics and that the people who were attacking him and his administration were just his political enemies.
Sakaja further added that the soiling of his name and his government was not going to make him lose focus on delivering for Nairobians.
He urged Atwoli not to worry because it’s all politics, it will always be there and they politicians know how to deal with politics. He said that he has also worried that people have begun attacking Atwoli.
Sakaja added that those sent to attack Atwoli were the same ones who have been attacking him. Sakaja called them out asking them to give Atwoli the respect he deserves as Head of trade unions not only in Kenya but also in Africa.
Sakaja’s administration has come under fire especially with the floods that have exposed poor drainage in the city. Sakaja has remained steadfast that Nairobians should not be confused by all the propaganda being spread about him and that they should look at his works.
