Reprieve For Kenyans As EPRA Reduces Prices For For Fuel

The Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) has announced a decrease in the prices of petroleum products, in its latest monthly review.

The new Retail Prices for the petroleum update will take effect from January 15 to Wednesday, February 14.

In its latest update, Super Petrol, Diesel and Kerosene decreased by Kshs.5.00, Kshs.5.00 and KShs.4.82 per litre respectively.

In Nairobi, the Super Petrol will now be Priced At Ksh 207.36, Diesel At Ksh 196.47, And Kerosene At Ksh 194.23.

According to EPRA, The prices are inclusive of the 16% Value Added Tax (VAT) in line with the provisions of the Finance Act 2023, the Tax Laws (Amendment) Act 2020 and the revised rates for excise duty adjusted for inflation as per Legal Notice No. 194 of 2020.
