Azimio Leader Raila Odinga on Monday after jetting back into the country from South Africa headed straight to Kamukunji grounds where he addressed his supporters. The former prime minister was armed with demands that he put across to his supporters.
Odinga said that since August 15th, the Azimio has been conducting its investigations of the IEBC and the electoral results.
According to Odinga their investigations prove that his victory was stolen.
“Gallant IEBC whistle-blowers have now published the true and authentic results of the 2022 elections,” Said Odinga.
Odinga Called on Kenyans to Reject the UDA regime terming it illegitimate.
“We ask our people to say no to the UDA regime. This regime and its unfortunate and unfair policies must be resisted and the resistance starts today,”
The Opposition leader also Demanded the Kenya Kwanza government to resign saying it has neither the mandate nor the ability to govern the country.
Odinga also called on Kenyans to demand the removal of punitive taxes
“We call on Kenyans to resist and demand the removal of the punitive taxes that have led to punitive costs of basic products and services including Unga, milk, sugar, school books, fuel, electricity, bus fare, paraffin and school fees, " Odinga said.
Odinga said the taxes were making life unbearable for Kenyans hence should be rejected in totality.
Raila also demanded the entire infrastructure and the records of the 2022 elections at the IEBC to remain public and be audited by an impartial body.
As part of his 7 demands, Raila said the Azimio coalition does not recognize the Kenya Kwanza regime, rejects the 2022 election results, and considers the Kenya Kwanza government illegitimate.
“We don’t recognize Mr. William Ruto as the President of Kenya,” Said Odinga.
The Judiciary was also on the receiving end of the as Odinga accused the two institutions of being central to the rigging of the 2022 elections.
“We know that the foreign technology companies contracted by the IEBC to run the elections and print the ballots were central to the rigging of the elections,” Said Odinga.
