Popular K24 Anchor Quits After 7 Years, Issues Next Move

Jeff Mote, a K24 news anchor, announced on Thursday, April 13, 2023, that he would leave the TV station after seven years.

High-ranking sources told Look Up Digital that Mote decided to leave Mediamax after a whooping seven years, the renowned media personality landed a position at the multinational company Sandin Consulting.

Prior to working at Media Max, a media house that hosts K24, People Daily and Milele FM, the decorated journalist has a distinguished 15-year media career, during which he has held a variety of positions, including anchor, presenter, voice-over actor, moderator, and corporate master of ceremonies.

In 2007, Mote began working as a radio host at Homeboyz Radio. He joined Radio Africa Group in 2014 and worked there for three years before moving on to Media Max.

The anchor has also performed work for Arabian Radio Network, Reuters Africa, and Deutsche Welle Africa.

Sources close to him told Look Up Digital that Mote will take up a new role as the Head of Media Partnerships - Africa for the boutique consultancy firm Sandin Consulting.

“The seasoned moderator brings a wealth of experience from both radio and television having worked in both international and Kenyan media." the insider revealed.

"I'm looking forward to my new engagement while creating synergies and unique content products across the continent. It's definitely a  very exciting opportunity" Jeff exclusively told Look Up Digital.

Mote graduated from Daystar University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and the University of Nairobi with a Master of Arts in International Relations and Affairs.
