Police launch Investigation on Circumstances Leading to Dumping of Man’s body in Machakos
Police in Machakos County launch an investigation after finding the body of a 44-year-old man lying outside his house in Masinga sub-County.
The deceased, Zakayo Muinde Minza was found disposed off in the same compound as his parents in the Kathukini sub-location, Masinga sub-county in Machakos County on 24th of April.
The police boss in Machakos County, Joseph Ole Napeyian said the incident was reported to Muthesya police post in Machakos County at 7:00 a.m on Monday by Kathukini assistant chief, Susan Nyamai who informed the police at Muthesya police post that there was a murder incident in Kathukini sub-location.
Police who visited the murder scene established that the body of the deceased had deep cuts on the neck as well as the head and also his hands were cut out.
According to Napeyian, the incident occurred around 3:30 a.m. on Monday. He also stated that Minza's murder suspects attempted to burn down his house.
The motive for the murder is still unknown.
The body of the deceased has been moved to Mbaku mortuary in Matuu Constituency awaiting an autopsy.
