Please Assist My Family, I'm Smart but Poor.

A family in Kawangware, Nairobi is appealing to well-wishers to assist her family to offset a 2.9 million debt that accumulated over a few months following her father’s ailment.

The deceased, 43-year-old Abel Omanga succumbed to a brain tumor at Nairobi West Hospital on 27th of December and has been in the morgue ever since, leaving his family with a huge debt to clear.

In an engagement with Look Up TV on Tuesday, fifteen-year-old Ruth Nyamisa narrated the ordeal that has befallen her family ever since her father began ailing in 2021.It all began with an eyesight issue but later diagnosis revealed it was a brain tumour.

“It was hard because dad was the breadwinner and he was struggling between looking for hospital money and our school fees,” she said.

The deceased managed to go for surgeries to get rid of the tumour through the assistance of well-wishers, but the operation brought about more complications that tied him to the hospital bed.

Ruth  who is  form two student at Moi forces, Lanet now worries about her school fees and her family’s well being since affording a simple meal is a challenge.

“Our deputy president Gachagua, if you are hearing this we really need your help”, she murmured amidst tears.

The family is now staring at a bill of ksh4.4 million with the inclusion of morgue and burial expenses. Well-wishers can assist through a pay bill number they shared (40029664, Philes Kemunto)
