Over 40 Passengers Leave Unscratched after KBS Bus Driver drives into a ditch Along Gitanga Road, Nairobi

A Kenyan Bus driver hailed hero of the day after saving the lives of more than 40 passengers who were in grave danger of dying due to brakes failure.

The Unexpected accident occurred on Sunday noon when the driver veered off from the road to a shallow ditch on Amboseli Road, Nairobi County.

None of the passengers was hurt or killed as they were all successfully extricated from the bus with the assistance of bystanders and locals.

Confirming the incident, one of the survivors stated that the driver swerved along the road in search of potholes and bumps to help in stopping the vehicle, until he came across the shallow ditch.

The ditch was the one that saved the driver from causing an accident that would have led to tens of passengers injured and even dead and also from ramming into vehicles ahead and bystanders at the Amboseli bus stop.

The cause of the brake system failure is yet to be established.

The passengers were traveling from Kawangware to the Nairobi CBD.
