New developments as the police clarify the death of Nahashon Ng’ang’a saying that The Lopha matatu was allegedly seen in photos circulating on social media after Nahashon Ng'ang'a's fatal accident at the Ruiru bypass was actually the one that rushed him to Kenyatta University Teaching, Referral and Research Hospital.
Ng'ang'a was a well-known tout who worked for Lopha Sacco on the route between Nairobi and Ruiru. He used to work for Lopha matatu Sacco until he succumbed on Wednesday.
Police are looking into the circumstances that led to Ng'ang'a's injuries and eventually death on Wednesday afternoon.
His photo went viral on social media when he was bleeding profusely on Thika Road early on Sunday morning after allegedly falling off a speeding matatu.
According to reports, Ng'ang'a argued with the driver of the Lopha matatu they were riding in on Saturday about the money they had gathered. Their argument went on until Saturday night.

Due to the fact that the driver was left in town when Ng'ang'a made that fateful trip to Ruiru, the police have disqualified him as a suspect. The driver told the police that was the last time he had seen Ng'ang'a.
Police received a preliminary report of a hit-and-run on Sunday morning, according to Alex Shikondi, commander of the Ruiru Sub-County Police. A team was later dispatched to the scene to investigate.
Ng'ang'a had already been transported to the hospital in the Lopha matatu, which the police later released after realizing it had actually saved his life.
"The driver of that Lopha matatu who is charged with pushing the victim was the one who pulled over after recognizing Ng'ang'a and rushed him to the hospital," said Mr. Shikondi.
Ng'ang'a was in critical condition when he arrived at the hospital. He had trouble breathing at around 1 o'clock and was taken to the ICU, where he remained for three days until his passing on Wednesday at 1 o'clock.
The police have called upon members of the public who witnessed the accident to report, as they await the postmortem that will be carried out on Friday 17th, March 2023.
