Gatundu South Member of Parliament Moses Kuria has conceded defeat in the Kiambu gubernatorial election even before the official results are declared by the IEBC.
In a statement on his Facebook account, Kuria says he is returning to the private sector after eight years of service as a member of parliament.
“I enjoyed every minute of my 8 years in elective politics. Back to private sector. Happily,” Kuria wrote on Facebook.
His announcement has shocked many since IEBC has not yet announced the final results of any seat.
Previously, the MP vowed to quit politics if he failed to win the Kiambu governor’s seat in the August 9 election.
In his LinkedIn profile, the lawmaker describes himself as the Chief Executive Officer at Eurotech Limited, specializing in business process, re-engineering, business development, interpersonal skills, and rapid learning curve for new concepts.
“I have over 15 years of experience in managing, delivering and marketing solutions, products and services in Information and Communications Technology, Business Consulting and Business Process Outsourcing in Africa and the Middle East,” Kuria wrote on his LinkedIn profile.
