Meru Governor Kawira Mwangaza Triumphs as Second Impeachment Attempt Fail

In a significant turn of events, Meru Governor Kawira Mwangaza has emerged victorious in her battle to retain office, as all seven impeachment charges against her were dismissed.

This marked the second unsuccessful attempt by the Members of the County Assembly in Meru to remove her from her position.

Following a rigorous evaluation, the Senate delivered a clear message: none of the impeachment charges held merit.

Senate Speaker Amason Kingi announced the outcome of the division, stating, "The Senate has not upheld any of the impeachment charges. Governor Kawira Mwangaza remains in office, as the Senate has failed to remove her through impeachment."

Governor Mwangaza can now continue her service to the people of Meru, undeterred by the challenges she faced.
