A police officer from Narok County has been applauded by netizens on social media for his kind gesture in caring for a child while the mother was in an interview.

According to sources seen by Look Up Digital, Tomlemmy Lemurt, a National Police Reservist, was seen carrying the child in his arms as he went about his business in the office.

The mother is said to have attended a two-hour interview at the Narok County Public Service Board for the position of clerical officer.

His goodwill gesture caught the attention of a lot of people on social media, including Saruni Kipukel, a former UDA MP candidate for Narok North.

“Let's appreciate good people in this world. This cop Tomlemmy Lemurt helped a woman who came to the interview with a child, this lady from Loita had no option but to report to the interview with her child,” said Saruni Kipukel.

“The cop acted with a human heart and helped to stay with the child while the mother was being interviewed. He should be brought into books,” he added.
