Rally driver Maxine Wahome is set to take a plea for the alleged murder of her late lover Asad Khan, this is after the Directorate of Public Prosecution approved the murder charge against Maxine .
Khan succumbed to injuries he allegedly sustained during a domestic squabble with Maxine.Wahome’s Family lawyer Philip Mugor while addressing media on Tuesday, expressed his lack of understanding of how Maxine was charged with murder.
Murgor said he has gone through all the evidence and facts and he does not know why the murder charge was preferred against Maxine. He added saying he is set for the court matter after a mental exam was conducted on Maxine proving she is fit to stand trial.
Wahome was out on bail awaiting investigations into the death of her boyfriend when DPP approved the murder charges against her.
She was initially being investigated for grievous harm inflicted on Khan before the charges escalated to murder when he succumbed to the injuries while in hospital.
