Matatu manager charged for insulting driver

A 30-year-old stage matatu manager has pleaded guilty to scolding a matatu driver.

George Kihiu Karanja admitted to insulting Catherine Kabura Wangari, asking her to grow a beard.

Karanja is charged that on October 22^nd, 2022 at 2050hrs along Tom Mboya street in Nairobi county, in a public place named commercial stage, he used abusive words to the complainant namely malaya, Kinoo ,mea ndevu with intent to provoke and breach the peace.

Karanja pleaded for mercy before senior principal magistrate Bernard Ochoi saying he apologized to Wangari.

The court has called for the pre-sentencing report before imposing a sentence.
