The game started with the home side having most of the possession of the game and stopping attacks from the winger Vinicius Junior, the Striker Karim Benzema and Co.

But the Blue’s defence was unbreakable for most of the game, despite Real Madrid’s counterattacks it seems they couldn't get their shot through in the final third.

The dominance of the game kept the Titleholders out of any possible chances that could change the game around and this has helped the Blues to close off the game in a classic Manchester City masterclass of a game.

Manchester City had a total of 16 shots and 8 shots on target having 4 go in during the course of the game.

Real Madrid did put in a performance against the Blues with 3 shots on target and a total of 7 shots on goal but their performance wasn’t enough to keep Man City quiet.

Real Madrid Coach Carlo Ancelotti could leave the club this season stating earlier in the season that Real Madrid could be his ‘last club’, hinting at retirement from club management at the end of the season.

But there have been rumours he could be managing Brazil’s National football team but nothing has been confirmed.

Pep Guardiola will look to add another Champions League trophy to his cabinet since 2011 with Barcelona. Despite his success with the German side Bayern Munich he never really finished the job of lifting the Champions League Cup with Bayern

However, his Champions League drought could end with leading Manchester City to the final and lifting the Cup the club so desired.

Manchester City has not won a Champions League Cup in the history of their club but will look to add their first of many on June 10th against Inter Milan.
