Man Shot Dead by Robbers in Migori, Robbed Gold

In a violent robbery that occurred on Monday 9, 2023 night in Kamasimo village, Kurutyange sub-location, Migori County, a 25-year-old businessman was shot and killed.

According to Cleti Kimaiyo, the commander of the Kuria West sub-county Police, the unidentified killers also snatched gold and money from the victim. 

The businessman later succumbed to injuries while undergoing treatment at Kuria West sub county hospital.

“Before they heard gunshots on the aforementioned night while on patrol near the crime scene, police officers quickly reacted, but the thieves had already left when they got there.” Mr Kimaiyo Noted.

He also highlighted that the deceased suffered several wounds that were thought to have been caused by some other primitive weaponry.

The head of the police force urged people to come forward with any information that could help identify the culprits and lead to their arrest.
