Kitengela is among the regions in Kenya encountering heavy rains. Although the rains have brought relief to the dust that is common in the region it has also caused roads in the area to be inaccessible leading to vehicles getting stuck in the mud.
Sam Hiuhu, a property agent based in Kitengela said the best time for purchasing land in Kitengela is during the rainy season since those who buy land in dry seasons end up buying land which is located near seasonal rivers and swamp areas that normally flood during the rainy season which is a loss to most of them.
Sam Hiuhi explained that Kitengela is a semi-arid area and most of the wet areas normally dry up and most people who buy land in the area do not know the losses they would incur when it starts raining.
Hiuhu advised land buyers to always check out for the land they are about to buy and also to consult with those who live around whether the land they are about to buy is nice.
It is alleged that flat lands in the area are normally covered with soil by those selling it so that it might look appealing to the purchasers.
Most people buy land in Kitengela because of its nearness to Nairobi.
