The drama surrounding Kylian Mbappe and his club PSG continues to rise to new heights as he accuses the club and his country of trivializing his performance. The arguably "best player in the world" revealed that his time at the club is up as he seeks to pursue the same career for a different club in future.

In an interview with France Football, the French forward described the club by calling it "a divisive team, a divisive club".

"Do people trivialise my performance? Yes, but at the same time, I don't blame them. In France, they saw me grow up, they see me all the time, at PSG every weekend or in the national team. And I've been scoring a lot for years. So, for people, it becomes normal. I never complained that my performances were trivialised. I am young and I had the chance to be an observer, not so long ago, before being an actor. And myself, I trivialised what [Lionel] Messi was doing, what Cristiano Ronaldo was doing, what the great players were doing. We are in a consumer society, where 'it's good, but do it again'. And the fact that I'm right next door, in Paris... I think playing at PSG doesn't help much because it's a divisive team, a divisive club. So, of course, it attracts gossip but it doesn't bother me because I know what I'm doing and how I do it."

PSG has not commented on Mbappe's sentiments but this makes it all clear for anyone to see that he will leave the club.

A few days ago the President of PSG released a statement stating that, "Our position on Mbappe is very clear, we do not want him to leave for free in June 2024, impossible,” Nasser Al Khelaifi says,

“We don’t want to lose the best player in the world for free, impossible.   You can consider impossible”

The president also gave the French player an ultimatum by giving him two weeks to decide to stay or leave this summer.

“If he does not want to extend, the door is open”, “No one is bigger than the club, no player, nor me” he added.

“We want Mbappe to stay but he can’t leave for free. It’s very clear and simple. No chance to leave for free”

Real Madrid has been linked with Kylian Mbappe in hopes to sign the player.
