Korogocho MCA Absalom Odhiambo Goes Missing
Korogocho MCA Absalom Odhiambo has gone missing following orders issued by deputy president Rigathi Gachagua for his arrest. This comes after the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) summoned the vocal MCA to appear in their offices on 30th of January following his inciting remarks made on Monday during an Azimio la Umoja rally at Kamukunji Grounds.
The MCA, was captured in a viral video criticizing the Kenya Kwanza leadership while inciting Azimio supporters in readiness for industrial action in the capital.
In a press statement, NCIC established the past few days are causing tension and if not well managed, it can stir chaos in the country.
“A case in point, is the utterances by Korogocho member of county assembly Hon.Absalom Odhiambo Onyango at the Azimio La Umoja Alliance rally at the Kamukunji grounds on Monday 23rd January 2022 which invoked ethnic hatred while inciting Kenyans to violence” read the press release.
National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) Chairperson Samuel Kobia has issued a warning to politicians following recent political activities that he said could plunge the country into chaos if not monitored.
Azimio la Umoja on the other hand has lined up several political rallies in the coming days to argue their case over the outcome of the election.
On Sunday, the Azimio leader will be leading his Azimio team in yet another rally at Jacaranda grounds in Embakasi East where he is expected to announce the way forward for his supporters.
