Kenyan popular music star Kennedy Ombima aka King Kaka held his second edition of under 17 Ligi soo football tournament on January 20 at city stadium.

The tuko ligi soo hit maker uses the proceeds from the tournament to build chicken coops for the teams so that they can grow and earn a living in the Eastlands area.

‘We are here to help young people achieve their dreams, by organizing football tournament, the main aim is to mentor them how they earn a living through running small business, we can’t wait for serikali saidia’ said King aka

Apart from that, the rapper provides the teams with business startups and offers guidance classes ranging from technical to health as well as safety.

Through his Kaka Empire mentorship program, eight teams on Friday battled for various trophies at the Nairobi city stadium.

Through his initiative, many teams have come out to participate in various tournaments urging Kenyans to turn out in large numbers to support them in various ways.

The music star launched the initiative in November 2020 with a drive of establishing mental strength as a foundation for youths from Eastlands.

In the recent years many youth have felt like football doesn’t pay much , prompting them to engage in alternative ways of making a living, including crime.

Last year some clubs had declined not to participate in the Kenyan premier league and National men rugby due to lack of funds with   some players failing to receive their payments.
