A section of Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leaders from Kilifi county have supported their party leader Raila Odinga’s decision to skip the presidential debate held on Tuesday.
Led by ODM party Chairman who is also the Ganze MP Teddy Mwambire, they said hey said Azimio presidential candidate cannot attend it because it is not pecked on the real issues that affect Kenyans like corruption in government which has been the Key set back in Kenyan Governance.
Speaking at Ndingiria in his Ganze constituency during the groundbreaking of a new secondary school, Mwambire, the MP said it was unfortunate that the panelists failed to give corruption the prominence it deserved yet it has led to wastage of resources and lack of development projects to the Taxpayers.
He added that such debates would save the nation which has lost a lot of money on projects that have no benefits to the country.
“If the issue of corruption will not be discussed, we see no need for him (Raila) to go because the biggest problem we have had in this country is corruption,” he said.
