Kenya Pipeline, Kenya Volleyball Women League Second Leg Battle

The defending champions of the 2022/23 season for the Kenya Women Volleyball League Kenya Pipeline, will have to prove themselves in the second leg of the 2023 season.

Kenya Pipeline is scheduled to open the grounds on Saturday, it faces Nairobi Water at 9:00am. Nairobi Water lost all their two games on the face leg, and they are currently the second last in the table standing.

On the other hand, the defending champions have won all their first leg matches, hence positioning themselves to defend the title. However, it will not be a walk in the park for them.

In another match, KCB will play Vihiga, the former champions( KCB) will have to tighten the nuts to win the title this season. The Bankers have won the only game they played in the first leg and they are currently holding the third position.

All the same the Africa champions KCB, have a squad depth having signed multiple skilled players in the transfer window. The new signings include Faith Cherotich, Elizabeth Mariana, Pauline Chemutai, all of whom have joined the Munala-led side from Kwanthanze Secondary School. The fourth player, outside hitter Juliana Namutira was snapped from the KDF Ladies’ Volleyball Team.

Other games set to be played includes; Kenya Army who will play DCI, Kenya Prison will face Post Bank, KDF will tackle Nairobi Prisons.

On Sunday, Nairobi Water will open the grounds against Post Bank then paving the way for the defending champions Kenya Pipeline against Kenya Army. At 12 noon Nairobi Prison will face Vihiga, DCI will play KDF and the Bankers will test their ability against Kenya Prison.
