KCB RFC was granted a walkover to the quarter-finals following Western Bulls’ failure to turn up for the fixture
KCB RFC is set to face Black bad RFC in the enterprise quarterfinals scheduled this Saturday at the Ruaraka grounds. The Kenya cup finalists were given a push to the quarter-finals after Western Bulls failed to turn up for their match as scheduled last weekend.
Last year’s match didn’t go as planned for the bankers after they lost 6-9 to the Kabras sugar after an exciting encounter at the RFUEA grounds. The bankers will be lacking some of their top team players during the quarter-finals including Elvis Olukusi, Griffin Musila, T.J Okidia, Samuel Asati, Brian Wahinya, Jacob Ojee, Peter Kilonzo and Darwin Mukidza, who have been signed up to the National team of Currie Cup competition set to start early next month.
“Last year we slipped a bit and allowed our opponents to deny us the trophy. This time, the boys are energetic and psyched up with a mission to bring the trophy home.
Moreover, we haven’t played in a while provoked by the walkover though we are critically preparing in our best efforts to scoop the maximum points during the match “Dennis Mwanja KCB RFC assistant coach noted.
