Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has given a go ahead to Ukambani governors to work with President William Ruto to develop the region. Kalonzo who seems somehow divided on the matter has however barred MPs and other elected leaders from Ukambani region in associating with Ruto’s led axis.
Musyoka was clearing the air over the recent move by the Machakos governor Wavinya Ndeti and her counterpart Makueni governor Mutua Kilonzo junior who have repeatedly given Azimio’s anti-government rallies a cold shoulder.
"We have told the Governors, that they should work with the government of the day, but they should not forget their homes," Kalonzo spoke at Ngovu village in Makueni during the burial of Nairobi businessman Paul Muthama Ngundi.
Since President William Ruto ascended to power, elected leaders from the opposition side have shown interest in working in cahoots with the President.
