Kakamega Homeboyz chairman Cleophas Shimanyula has laid off head coach Juma Baraza due to poor performance in the FKF premier league.

“We have parted ways with John Baraza due to poor performance. Manoah, Waw and Mudavadi will be in charge of the team for an interim period. Preparation for announcing a new coach is still ongoing”. Said John Baraza.

Baraza was appointed head coach of Kakamega Homeboyz on October 27 last year after parting ways with the current Ulinzi Stars coach Bernard Mwalala.

Currently, Kakamega Homeboyz sits eighth in Kenya Federation league with 21 points after playing fifteen matches and losing four.

John Baraza previously coached National Super League side Mara sugar until May last.

He also coached Batoto Ba Mungu Sofapaka for one season but got fired before the season ended due to poor performance.

The former Harambee star coach played for several clubs including Chemelil sugar, Sofapaka and former Champions Oserian.

Baraza, 48 years old managed to play 52 matches for the National Team Harambee stars and netted 21 goals.
