Kakamega: Girl Threatens Father to Commit Suicide After Failing to Join FORM 1

A Girl has caused an uproar in Kakamega town after threatening her father of committing suicide for failing to pay her school fees to join form one.

Melvin Masitsa presented the suicide letter to her father accusing him of neglecting his responsibility of paying her school fees after garnering 319 marks in the 2022 KCPE examination.

In a suicide letter that has left many astonished at the Kakamega bus station, residents were shocked by Melvin Masista’s decision of threatening her father Jared Masango of committing suicide.

 The father, Jared, is a matatu conductor for failing to pay her fees to join ST Cecilia Mautama high school.

 Melvin has said that she has been in search of her father who has been avoiding her since he divorced her mother.

She further pleaded for support from well-wishers so as to quench her thirst for education and fulfil her dreams.

On his side, Melvin’s father Jared has said he has tried all he can to educate his daughter though he has not been successful since his job as a matatu conductor cannot raise enough funds to send her to school as he urged the government to intervene.

This coming as many students across the country are struggling to join secondary schools out of financial constraints.
