Juja: Man Fatally Stabs Wife Before Taking His Own Life

Shock grips Juja residents as a middle-aged man allegedly fatally stabs his wife before committing suicide with the same weapon.

The tragic incident unfolded in Juja, Kiambu County, where neighbours discovered the situation and sought help from the police.

The motive behind the man fatally stabbing his wife remains unknown, as neighbours report no signs of disagreement between the couple leading up to their demise.

According to the family members the wife attempted to seek assistance from the police after enduring repeated threats from her husband but no action was taken.

"We want justice for our sister, she has left behind children and they are in danger," one of the family members stated.

"When I went to inspect her body at the mortuary, she had injuries and blood all over her body. A rope was placed on her neck but my sister did not commit suicide," the family member added.

The bodies have been transported to a mortuary for further investigation.

This incident emerged at a time marked by a rise in homicides from family disputes. In response, Kenyans attribute this trend to the escalating cost of living and mental health challenges.
